About
I Read Stuff Bookstore is a micro/bookshop in Cafe Mustache in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. We specialize in consignments, folklore, weird fiction, queer theory, eco-literature, cinema, and more!
Our personalized bookshelf is a western-saloon style one-stop-shop for all-you-can-dream-of curated selections, designed by Chicago artist Daniel Champion.
I Read Stuff is made up of Jessie McCarty (Founder), Chloe Harrington (Creative Director), and Candela Navarro Molina (Books in Translation). Our logo was drawn by tattoo artist Alissa Lasch.
We have collaborated with artists and venues such as Cafe Mustache, The Saddle, Maddie Rogers, Peach Miller, Daniel Champion, Caroline Cash, Lily Cozzens, Alissa Lasch, Michael Aronson and several pastry makers such as Sol Cafe, Bon Pastries, Can Sa bakery, and more.
Our new bookshop in SOL Cafe in Rogers Park is forthcoming!
FOLDS, a foldable zine-collection, comes out in 2022 - edited by Makenzie Beyer.
